Raquel Pempengco, in an exclusive interview with PEP, revealed that she asked for help from Jake Zyrus after her mother, Tess Pineda passed away on April 3.

Days after she died, Raquel's brother, Robert, died on April 6.
Based on the statement of Raquel, she tried to reach out to Jake but the latter has not yet made any "paramdam."
"Wala pang paramdam si Charice (Jake’s old name) hanggang ngayon," said Raquel in ABS-CBN's report.

When she was asked to give a message to Jake, she said that she really needs help right now.
“Need ko talaga ngayon ang tulong. Namatay naman ang kapatid ko na nagbabantay sa nanay ko. Kaninang umaga lang siya namatay...Tulungan niya sana ako at hindi ko kakayanin. Ako lang ang inaasahan ng pamilya ko."
A per Raquel, Jake is currently in the U.S.
The relationship of Jake and his mother Raquel has not been at its best. Recently, in Inquirer's report, Jake showed off his physical transformation from Charice to Jake.
Jake Zyrus is a well-known singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He is previously known as Charice Pempengco, the girl who made international TV appearances because of her singing prowess.
Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of "Cristy Ferminute," together with Romel Chika, discussed the recent photo that Jake Zyrus shared on social media. The veteran columnist then revealed that Jake does not like to be called "Charice." She also revealed that the singer spent millions in order to achieve his body now. Cristy herself, could not describe how she feels in relation to the transformation of Charice into Jake.
Raquel Pempengco and her child Jake Zyrus are still in a rough relationship after what happened to the singer. In spite of this, Raquel made a plea to Jake through her social media account. She said Jake’s grandmother needs to see her favorite apo.
