VP Leni Robredo opted to cut her speech at the Camanava rally in order to participate in the Earth Hour, which would run from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

She was welcomed onstage by the crowd at little past 8 p.m. and was delivering her speech when she openly stated that in just 5 minutes, Earth Hour would be starting.

So, she made way for the Earth Hour, showing her solidarity with the cries of the environment.

"Meron na lang pong five minutes bago ang earth Hour," VP Leni told the crowd that had gathered at the Notre Dame University in Caloocan.

Thereafter, VP said that everyone needs to join the great advocacy related to the Earth Hour.

"Kailangan po tayong makiisa kasi napakahalaga niyang adbokasiya na kailangan nating ginagawa," she said.

When the lights were out, the venue was lit up by they cellphone cameras and light sticks.

VP Leni Robredo is the incumbent vice president of the Philippines. She is a human rights lawyer. Her husband was the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo. They have three daughters, namely, Aika, Patricia, and Jillian.
