Tom Rodriguez appears to be buckling down and might not be able to endure anymore social media’s emotional battering of him, according to Lolit Solis.

The veteran showbiz columnist also said that such things might also be a form of test of one’s character.

“Isa sa mga hindi na naman natiis ang emotional battering ng social media si Tom Rodriguez, Salve. Siguro nga test of character din ang mangyayari sa iyo once na nakakabasa ka ng mga bashing sa social media,” Nay Lolit said.

She said that in her case, she loves to read bashers’ comments against her.

“Ewan ko kung may pagka pseudo-macho ako na weird dahil nga kahit medyo nasasaktan ako, type na type ko basahin mga bashing sa akin,” the veteran columnist said.

Nay Lolit revealed that she didn’t like it when her comment section was removed because it was open for everyone.

“Naloka nga ako na inalis ang comment section ko samantalang talagang open iyon sa lahat ng comments,” she said.

The veteran columnist said that while there are comments on her posts that can be hurtful, there are also constructive ones, and in some cases, hilarious ones.

“Meron nakakasakit sa akin, pero meron din naging constructive ang epekto dahil nakita ko na iyon outsider will only judge you from what they hear or read. Meron nakakatawa dahil para bang kilalang kilala ka, kahit never mo pang nakita o na meet man lang,” Nay Lolit revealed.

She did admit, however, that if one is not emotionally strong, he or she would definitely be affected by such comments, worse, might cause them to develop mental issues.

“Pero pag mahina ka nga emotionally, sure apektado ka, baka nga magkaruon ka pa ng mental problem. Saka dapat talaga handa ka sa magiging resulta dahil sng daming nakasawsaw talaga sa mga issues ngayon,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

Nay Lolit then advised one should know how to handle comments.

“Dapat alam mo how to handle ng mga darating na comments,” she said.

The veteran showbiz columnist then said that it might be better for Tom to take a time off from social media and focus all his energy in sorting out his problems.

“Kaya nga mas mabuti narin siguro na mag time out si Tom Rodriguez sa social media at i sort out muna mga problema niya. Mas madadagdagan pa problema niya pag binabasa niya mga comments. Buti pa ngang tahimik muna siya,” Nay Lolit said.

Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.

She said that everyone has their own choice of candidates and they should choose who they feel deserve their votes.
