The Philippine National Police (PNP) has formally filed a complaint against Kit Thompson, the actor-boyfriend of Ana Jalandoni, for violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Inquirer reported.

The actor was arrested and brought to the police station by the Tagaytay police after a message asking for help was allegedly sent by his girlfriend, Ana Jalandoni, on March 18, Friday.
Ana was also rescued and as per the statement of Tagaytay PNP, based on their investigation, the root cause of the alleged assault on the actress was jealousy.

In a video as shared by ABS-CBN News, Tagaytay Police chief Lt. Col. Rolando Baula said, "Parang jealousy...parang yung ang lumalabas, pinag-ugatan nung panggugulpi."
As per Manila Bulletin's report, Gabriela is supporting a full investigation of the incident and that it condones any act of violence.
Kit Thompson became known in showbiz after joining Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4 in 2012. He then landed several roles in showbiz in the same year.
An old exchange of Kit Thompson and Ana Jalandoni has gone viral on social media. It was found in an old Facebook post of Ana and in the comment section, she called Kit as "asawa." The actress even added "ko" after asawa, which when translated would mean my husband. This was the reply of Ana to Kit who commented on her post with "So beautiful."
The Philippine National Police recently issued a statement regarding the incident that happened between Kit Thompson and Ana Jalandoni. According to them, they have been continuously monitoring Ana's condition after she was rescued by the police. They also talked about their mission to protect women's rights. Furthermore, they stated that they will perform a "full, fair, and transparent" investigation.
