The Philippine National Police has released a statement on the incident that transpired between celebrities, Kit Thompson and Ana Jalandoni.

In their statement, they assured everyone that they are closely monitoring Ana's condition after she was rescued by them.
In the case of Kit, they are still collecting all of the evidence in preparation for the possibility of pursuing charges.
"The PNP continues to monitor the condition of the lady victim after the rescue operation. The suspect, actor Kit Thompson, has been arrested at inihahanda na po ang mga ebidensya for possible filing of charges," the statement reads.

"We condone any act of violence, especially against women. As we celebrate the Women's Month, we couldn't stress enough the inherent role of the PNP to protect the rights of every woman in society."

Kit Thompson became known in showbiz after joining Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4 in 2012. He then landed several roles in showbiz in the same year.
In a previous report by KAMI, Ana Jalandoni posted on social media for the first time after the incident she got involved in along with her boyfriend, Kit Thompson. As of this writing, the Kapamilya actor is now in the custody of police for allegedly abusing Ana. In a Facebook post, Ana showed what happened to her face after the incident. Through her post, she also thanked everyone who showed their concern for her.
Earlier, the talent management of actor Kit Thompson released its official statement concerning the actor's alleged involvement in a Tagaytay incident. The statement noted that they have received information on the alleged involvement of the actor. It also noted that they still would have to receive a formal report on the alleged incident, hence, they still cannot respond or comment on the matter. What the actor's camp requested was for the public to be mindful of casting judgment.
