In the latest episode of Cristy Ferminute, they discussed the demand letter against the showbiz columnist released by Dawn Chang’s camp.
“Kung inyo po susuysuyin 'yung batas, 'yung mga desisyon ng ating kataas-taasang hukuman tungkol sa libelo, kung ikaw ay public figure na katulad ni Dawn Chang, 'no, hindi ko talaga siya kilala e, ngayon ko lang nakilala pero mukha naman siyang public figure. Lumalabas pala siya sa isang palatuntunan 'pag tanghali bilang isang mananayaw, ang batas po natin sinasabi, ang malice, 'yung malisya ay hindi presumed,” the lawyer said.
“You have to prove malice. Hindi po tulad na kapag ang nilibelo mo ay isang pribadong tao, malice is already presumed. Meaning to say, public personality, malice is not presumed at 'yung nagrereklamo ang may burden of truth to show na ikaw ay may malice at 'yan pong essence ng libelo ay malice. Kung walang malisya, e mali siya,” he added.
Cristy then shared that she does not know the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate personally.
“At saka attorney, hindi po kami magkakilala ni Dawn Chang, 'di ko nga po siya kilala e. Ako rin for sure 'di niya kilala,” Nanay Cristy stressed.
“Siguro po, 'di ba'y malice sabi niyo nga, isa sa mga sangkap ng libelo, ano po ang malisya kung hindi ko nga po siya kilala? At kung susuyurin niyo po ang lahat ng columns ko mula nu'ng mag-artista siya, kahit isang pangalan po niya, hindi ko pa naisusulat sa column ko, never. Wala po talaga.”

Dawn Chang is a Filipina actress. She is also an entrepreneur as she would bake small and cute cupcakes. She was the ex-girlfriend of Justin Cuyugan.
Dawn's legal team has released a statement, demanding a public apology from Cristy Fermin. This, after Cristy made some strong remarks against Dawn and even accused her of flirting with bosses.
Cristy's legal counsels, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio at Atty. Joselito O. Lomangaya, then responded to the statement. They also asked for a public apology from Dawn's lawyer for allegedly violating the Code of Professional Responsibility.
