In today’s episode of Cristy Ferminute, the entertainment columnist invited her lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, to her program to discuss about the statement, demanding a public apology from the showbiz reporter.
Nanay Cristy maintained that she will not make a public apology about her earlier remark on the former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ housemate.
“Alam niyo po, Atty. Topacio at mga kababayan natin, mga ka-CFMers, mahigit na tatlong dekada na po ako na nasa mundo ng panulat. At dito po sa aking hanay na kinabibilangan, tinatanggap ko po 'yung mga binabato sa akin na kasong libelo. Sa trabaho po namin, walang ibang kaakibat na kaso kundi libelo.”
“Mula po noon hanggang ngayon, hindi po ako bumabawi ng anumang sinasabi ko. Hindi po ako nagbibigay ng public apology sa anumang sinusulat ko dahil para po sa akin, 'yung pinaghirapan kong tatlong dekada ng kredibilidad, hindi ko po ipananakaw,” Nanay Cristy said.
Atty. Topacio furthermore told Dawn’s camp, “Pinasasabi po ng aking kliyente na si Miss Cristy Fermin na hindi po siya magpapaumanhin, hindi po niya babawiin ang sinabi niya, at lalong-lalo na, hindi kami kukuha ng isang buong pahina ng malaking pahayagan para ilathala lamang ang aming pagpapaumanhin sapagkat para sa amin, this is a fair and true report, it is a fair commentary, ikaw ay public figure at ikaw naman kasi ang nanguna.”

Dawn Chang is a Filipina actress. She is also an entrepreneur as she would bake small and cute cupcakes. She was the ex-girlfriend of Justin Cuyugan.
Dawn's legal team has released a statement, demanding a public apology from Cristy Fermin. This, after Cristy made some strong remarks against Dawn and even accused her of flirting with bosses.
Cristy's legal counsels, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio at Atty. Joselito O. Lomangaya, then responded to the statement. They also asked for a public apology from Dawn's lawyer for allegedly violating the Code of Professional Responsibility.
