Gretchen Ho is a television host and former volleyball player in the Philippines. She played volleyball for the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2008 to 2013. Her popularity rose when she became a co-host on Umagang Kay Ganda, TV Patrol, and The Score.
Gretchen Ho could not stop laughing while reporting on “The Big Story”, One News’ primetime newscast. This was because of a hilarious clip she and Roby Alampay presented during the program. The clip shows Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno failing to notice a supporter who was trying to hand him a turon during a campaign caravan.
The video reposted by Gretchen Ho showing the actual destruction of most of the roof of the Siargao Sports Complex Gymnasium amid the onslaught of super typhoon Odette has gone viral. The island of Siargao and the adjacent province of Surigao del Norte were among the areas heavily damaged by Odette, the international name of which is Rai. The newly-inaugurated gymnasium is supposed to serve as shelter for hundreds of evacuees seeking cover from the wrath of the storm. The super typhoon also ravaged many areas in the province of Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Negros Occidental and Oriental, as well as some places in Mindanao and Palawan.
