ABS-CBN has finally released a statement about Toni Gonzaga’s resignation from Pinoy Big Brother.

On Thursday, February 10, the media giant publicized on its online platforms how grateful the network is to Toni.

“ABS-CBN remains grateful to Toni Gonzaga-Soriano for the 16 years of being the main host of ‘Pinoy Big Brother.’ We value Toni’s hosting prowess and her many years of serving the Filipino with us as our Kapamilya.”

The Kapamilya network also aired respect towards the 38-year-old actress and TV host’s “personal choices”.

Toni Gonzaga is a famous actress, television host, and YouTube star in the Philippines. She married director Paul Soriano on June 12, 2015 in Taytay, Rizal. Toni then gave birth to their first child, Severiano Elliott, on September 30, 2016. At their wedding, one of their godfathers is former senator Bongbong Marcos.

Furthermore, Toni posted that she is stepping down as the main host of “Pinoy Big Brother.” In her latest post, Toni officially bid farewell to the reality show and said she will leave the rest to Bianca Gonzalez and the other hosts. Following her announcement, PBB management released a statement on Toni’s departure. The management expressed respect and gratitude towards the 38-year-old actress and TV host.

Direk Erik Matti also aired dismay towards Toni in a now-viral post. He took a swipe on the actress and TV host, who became trending for hosting the proclamation rally of Bongbong Marcos and Mayor Sara Duterte. The renowned director’s fiery post also gained comments from some celebrities. DJ Chacha penned “Very well said” while John Arcilla reacted “Salute Erik!”
