Andi Eigenmann’s fiancé, Philmar Alipayo, shared a video on his Instagram Stories showing raging waves on the beaches of Siargao, which was presumably brought about by super typhoon Odette.
Andi and Philmar are not in Siargao at the moment as photos on both their IG accounts would suggest.
Philmar did not say where he got the video that he posted, though it could be from one of his relatives back on the island.
In the video he shared, one could see the waves looking normal from afar, though it suddenly slammed on the shore and traveled several meters inland.

From the vantage point of the person taking the video, it appeared that the distance covered by the seawater after slamming ashore is approximately more than 50 meters.
The height of the waves themselves, as seen on the video, appeared to be over 2 meters high.
Even the person taking the video seem surprised as the waters kept on raging toward him, finally reaching the area where he stood.
The sight look so horrifying that Philmar appealed for people who live near the ocean to be evacuated.
“Please evacuate na those people who live near the ocean,” Philmar captioned the video.
He also indicated that the water is already high even though at the time the video was taken it was still low tide.
“Water is already this high while it still lowtide. hightide is at 4pm,” he wrote.
Andi’s fiancé then repeated his plaintive plea for people living near the waters of Siargao to be evacuated.
