Aiko Melendez, 45, could not help but turn emotional during one of her recent campaigns in Quezon City because of the surprise she received from the people.
On Tuesday, December 14, KAMI learned that the actress posted a 33-second clip of the people from Barangay Capri throwing a mini birthday party for her.
It is worth noting that Aiko will be turning a year older this coming December 16, Thursday, which is why they threw an advance birthday celebration for her.

On her Instagram account, @aikomelendez, the actress openly admitted that she could not help but tear up due to the surprise they prepared for her.

She then went on to express her thanks and gratitude to the people in Barangay Capri and to those who planned the surprise.
"Salamat Barangay Capri at sa mga liders ko po sa maagang pagbati sa aking kaarawan. Di ko mapigilan ang maluha basta kayo ang mga tao mismo ang aking sandalan at kakampi walang mahirap. With God as my Protector and Big Boss. Thank you."

Aiko Melendez is a popular showbiz personality in the Philippines. In 2018, she won the Best Supporting Actress award for the movie, “Rainbow’s Sunset.” In 2001, Aiko ran for councilor in the city elections in Quezon City and won. She became Councilor of the 2nd District of Quezon City and remained in office for 9 years until 2010.
