After the pageant’s top 5 candidates were announced, the Miss Universe 2018 immediately took to Twitter to pen, “You made us so proud Bea!!!!”

The Cebu representative bested well-known candidates such as Asia's Next Top Model season 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz and former PBB housemate Kisses Delavin. She is also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and had a former girlfriend named Kate Jagdon. Bea concluded her Miss Universe 2021 journey in the Top 5. Harnaaz Sandhu of India won the prestigious Miss Universe 2021 held in Israel.
Bea’s gold couture gown by Francis Libiran was able to impress many. She donned the gorgeous gown during the Miss Universe 2021 finals. Libiran's page then shared the story behind Bea's “Pintados”-inspired gown.
