Mayor Isko Moreno has replied to an earlier comment of popular showbiz columnist, Lolit Solis, that it’s too early for the Manila local chief executive to run for president.

The mayor has filed his Certificate of Candidacy for President with the Commission on Elections last October 4.
There were some, however, who say that he should not have run this early, and among them is Nay Lolit.
“Huwag lang muna sana ngayon dahil Bongbong Marcos ako pero sa susunod na election, ikaw ang iboboto ko,” Nay Lolit had said during her online show with Cristy Fermine and Mr. Fu.

She then said that it’s too early for Mayor Isko to run for president.
The Manila Mayor, upon learning of Nay Lolit’s comment, took the opportunity to give her his reply.
He said that in life, he is very persistent and would try to convince those around him, including Nay Lolit, that he’s the best man for the job.
“PERSISTENT ako sa buhay. Meron pa akong anim na buwan para kumbinsihin ka!” Mayor Isko said.
Previously, Mayor Isko attended the media conference for his biopic, ‘Yorme: The Isko Domagoso Story.’
During the media conference that they know him better than anyone else.
“Ako po ay aplikante bilang pangulo ng Pilipinas. You know me better than anybody else. Nakita na ninyo ako simula 1993 sa hallway ng Broadway. Sa Kamameshi,” the mayor said.
He said that he would give his utmost dedication for the job in the same manner that he poured his effort in public service for more than two decades.
“The same manner I gave for 23 years of my life in public service. Kahit paano naman meron tayong pruweba. So sa inyong lahat, kailangan ko ang tulong ninyo,” Mayor Isko said.
Isko Moreno is a politician and a former actor who is currently the Mayor of Manila. He is married to Diana Lynn Ditan and they have five children. The popular mayor is tagged by voters as a potential frontrunner in the 2022 Presidential Elections.
Recently, Nay Lolit took to Instagram to praise Mayor Isko Moreno, who is running in next year’s presidential elections. The showbiz columnist said that she was impressed with the answers of the mayor during the press conference for his movie, “Yorme.” Nay Lolit also took note that the movie’s director did not attempt to steal the limelight from Mayor Isko and was content to just be in a corner. In her post, Lolit said that the story of Mayor Isko is one where many lessons can be learned.
Last month, Mayor Isko Moreno unleashed a couple of words against VP Leni Robredo. The VP has responded to the mayor's viral rant. She said that she will not make 'patol' because there are so many bigger things or problems that need her attention. VP Leni then said that the exchange of words will result in nothing and that it's better to just ignore it. The VP then said that she approached not just Mayor Isko, but many candidates, trying to find an avenue to unite.
