Gerald Anderson was effusive in his praise for his new leading lady, YouTube star Gigi De Lana, calling her “outstanding” in many aspects, particularly when it comes to her passion in doing her tasks.

The actor and the YouTube star are the main characters in ABS-CBN’s newest romantic-comedy series, ‘Hello, Heart.’
The series is a pilot project between the Kapamilya Network and iQiyi, a global streaming service.
Gerald revealed he is very excited with the new romcom series firstly because of the character he would portray.

“First of all I was excited kasi yung character ko bilang si Saul is a character that I’ve always wanted to play. He’s a business tycoon and it’s a dynamic character,” Gerald said.
He then expressed great excitement in working with a fresh and new tandem, in the person of Gigi.
“Nung sinabi nila na si Gigi yung makakasama ko siyempre rinesearch ko agad sa YouTube and yung videos niya na kumakanta. For some reason, it always works pag ganun eh. Pag fresh at bago yung tandem, it excites me because it’s another challenge for me bilang aktor and it’s exciting for the fans,” the actor explained.
Gerald then revealed a portion of the story of the new romcom series.
He said that his character is a business-as-usual guy devoid of emotion who hired the pretty and hardworking woman, Heart.
Part of Heart’s job is to please the businessman’s grandmother who is suffering from dementia.
He also praised Gigi for her acting skills, particularly so that it’s “her first time to act.”
“Hindi mo talaga maki-create yan. Lalo na sa sitwasyon ni Gigi dahil it’s her first time to act. All you can do bilang partner niya is to make her as comfortable as possible,” he said.
Gerald then emphasized the need for Gigi to be comfortable due to the high-pressure and vulnerable environment.
“Siyempre we’re in a very high pressure, sensitive, and vulnerable environment. Kailangan lang comfortable siya and then let the rest happen. Sa awa ng Diyos naging okay naman. Nag-enjoy kami and we feel like we made magic. I’m always open sa ganung tandem kasi it’s something fresh,” Gerald said.
The actor also said that the fans of Gigi, who were already amazed by her singing prowess, would be prouder of her outstanding acting performance, particularly in the passion and heart that she poured out.
Gerald Randolph Opsima Anderson Jr, better known as Gerald Anderson, is a Filipino-American actor best known for his lead roles in various TV soap operas like Sana Maulit Muli, My Girl, Tayong Dalawa, Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, Budoy, and as Fredo in Dyesebel. He was hailed as the "Prince of Philippine Movies and Television" twice and "Most Popular Loveteam" thrice with former on-screen partner, Kim Chiu at the Guillermo Mendoza Box Office Awards. After proving his skills and talent in acting through his performance in his teleseryes most especially in Tayong Dalawa and Budoy, he is now being dubbed as the "Action Drama Prince" in Philippine Television.
When Gigi met Gerald, she could not help but gush. She admitted that she got starstruck and was even contemplating on what to say to him. The singer then decided to just simply show her true nature and just blurted out, "Uy, ang gwapo mo naman." Gigi then said that it would be better so that he will immediately know that she is madaldal.
The new romcom series, 'Hello, Heart' is the very first acting stint of Gigi where she will portray the role of a pretty woman hired by Gerald to please his grandmother. The YouTube star admitted getting starstruck by Gerald. The actor, for his part, said he did his best to assist Gigi with everything, including becoming her coach in acting.
