The award was from Gawad Amerika and the comedienne could not help but express her profound gratitude for all, especially for her family in the Kapuso network.
She then penned a lengthy gratitude post.

Ruby Rodriguez, born on January 10, 1966, is a Kapuso actress who became well-known for hosting "Eat Bulaga" alongside Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Pauleen Luna, and Maine Mendoza. She has two children, namely, Antonio Jesus and Antoinette Aquino.

She said that she wanted her son to seek medical treatment for his condition in the United States. The former co-host of the Philippines’ number 1 show, Eat Bulaga!, said that her son has ‘intellectual disability.’ Ruby explained his son’s brain is delayed for his biological age.
