Veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis recently declared that former congressman and DILG Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento, the husband-to-be of Kris Aquino, is more handsome compared to former Parañaque Mayor Joey Marquez.

Joey is the ex-boyfriend of Kris with their relationship lasting for more than a year and a half, ending with a highly publicized breakup.
During episode 117 of the online talk show, ‘Take It .... Per Minute, Me Ganun!’, Nay Lolit, along with Nay Cristy and Mr Fu, noted the remarkable resemblance of Mel with Joey.

“Naku! Nagulat ako nung na-post ang photo, akala ko si Joey Marquez!” Mr. Fu said.
Nay Cristy agreed, saying that she got goosebumps.
“Ay ako talaga, kinilabutan ako! Iniabot sa akin ni Gemma, ‘Ate ito po yung post ni Kris, yung video.’ Pag ganun ko, kinilabutan ako! Joey Marquez ang itsura!” Cristy remarked.
The three went on discussing about Mel’s resemblance to Joey when Nay Lolit suddenly blurted out that Sarmiento is more handsome than Marquez.
“Hindi, actually nga ha. Naku, alam mong mahal naman kita Joey! Sa ngayon nga di ba parang pumayat si Joey tsaka ano, parang mas gwapo na ngayon si Senen eh!” Nay Lolit said.
Mr. Fu said: “Is that so?” to which Nay Lolit reaffirmed her earlier statement.
She justified her statement by saying that perhaps it’s because Joey appears very thin now.

Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
Nay Lolit has also reacted to the photos of Pauleen Luna that show her fit and slim physique. The showbiz writer said that she admires Pauleen’s dedication in working out and dieting. She also commented that Pauleen’s husband Vic Sotto seems to be proud of his wife’s fitness achievements. Lastly, she added that Pauleen chose the right partner in Vic because he truly loves and cares for her.
Recently, Lolit appeared to have been corrected by Gladys Reyes as regards the sudden passing of the actress' dad. On Instagram, Gladys posted a video clip of her dad singing before telling him they would see each other again someday. Following this news, Lolit Solis penned a lengthy post about the actress’ father’s cause of death. This prompted Gladys to clarify that her dad died due to multiple organ failure in Lolit’s online post.
