Ruffa Gutierrez has clarified a long-running misunderstanding surrounding a memorable episode of ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz” involving Kris Aquino, explaining that she never intended to walk out of the program.

The actress and television host discussed the resurfaced footage during an interview with Boy Abunda on GMA Network’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.” The conversation touched on old episodes of the entertainment program, including moments that have recently resurfaced on social media feeds.

Abunda asked Ruffa how she reacts whenever clips from their past television work appear online again.

“Ay, ang payat ko noon. Ayoko nang kumain. Hindi, you know during our time Tito Boy talagang napakasaya kase we were not mean people. We would give the facts. We would give our opinions. We would show what it’s like in show business, pero never tayo naging mean,” Ruffa recalled.

Abunda then brought up the particular scene involving Kris that has continued to attract attention over the years.

“Ang madalas bumabalik talaga, remember that scene that you had with Kris?” Abunda asked.

Ruffa responded by addressing the perception that she had deliberately walked out during the episode.

“Nag-walkout ako? I have no plans of walking out,” she said.

According to Ruffa, she believed the airing had already concluded when she got up from her seat. She explained that she did not realize the cameras were still filming because she assumed the segment was already over.

“Akala ko naman kasi tapos na. Tapos na ‘yung airing,” Ruffa explained.

“My gosh, medyo mabagal ‘yung pag-akyat ng camera. So, nasa TV pa pala ko noon,” she said.

At the time, she was going through an emotional period because she was preparing to leave “The Buzz.”

“Eh alam mo naman ako pawipe-wipe ako ng tears. Emo ko nun kase paalis na ko sa The Buzz, kinuha ko ng ibang istasyon… So, I was very emo kase I was leaving you guys behind,” she said.

Ruffa said she was emotional because she was saying goodbye to her colleagues at “The Buzz” as she prepared to move to another television station.

Ruffa Gutierrez is an accomplished Filipino actress, model and television host who gained international attention after placing second runner-up at the 1993 Miss World pageant. She subsequently built a lengthy career in Philippine entertainment, appearing in numerous television productions and successful films.
