Joey de Leon is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is a member of the comedy trio Tito, Vic, and Joey and has made several comedy movies and TV shows. Joey is also best known for being a pioneer host of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga,” which premiered on July 30, 1979.
Ryzza Mae Dizon, on the other hand, is a Filipino television host and former child star who gained public recognition after winning attention in the “Little Miss Philippines” segment of Eat Bulaga in 2012. She later became the host of her own program, The Ryzza Mae Show, and appeared in several television productions and films. Throughout her career, she has received various awards for her work as a young actress and television personality.
Recently, Ryzza’s family grew concerned after receiving messages allegedly threatening the young television host’s life. Her mother posted screenshots of emails from an unidentified sender demanding ₱20,000, supposedly to cover their child’s operation. The sender reportedly threatened to harm Ryzza if the money was not given. In response, netizens urged the family to seek help from the National Bureau of Investigation to identify the person responsible for the threatening emails.
Months ago, Ryzza cautioned the public against fake online posts falsely portraying her as an endorser of an online sugal application. Through her Instagram Stories, she shared a clip of the fabricated video and marked it with “FAKE,” clarifying that she does not promote or endorse any online sugal apps. She also encouraged her followers to report misleading content using her name or likeness rather than believe or share such posts. Additionally, Ryzza thanked her fellow “Eat Bulaga” host Ian Red for alerting her to the fake video.
