Kean Cipriano, nagsalita tungkol kay Unique Salonga, may nilinaw sa kontrata nito sa O/C Records

Kean Cipriano has put to rest any speculation surrounding Unique Salonga’s departure from O/C Records, confirming that Unique’s contract with the label has already concluded.

During his interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Thursday, August 20, the singer-actor and music label executive said there were no issues between the record label and Unique when their professional partnership came to an end.

"Si Unique tapos na 'yung kontrata sa amin. Maayos 'yung ano namin with Unique. Wala (walang kontrobersiya) maayos 'yan."

Rather than viewing the separation negatively, he said he was grateful for what they managed to accomplish while working together.

"At noong time na 'yon alam ko rin na 'ah hanggang dito 'yung journey natin doon sa artist.' Okay din kasi may nagawa kaming maganda."

After their professional partnership came to an end, Kean said they made sure to formally say goodbye. He also expressed happiness over seeing Unique return to performing and making music with IV of Spades. Formed in 2014, IV of Spades reunited in 2025 and released "Aura," which was later included in their album "Andalucia," while the band is also known for hits such as "Mundo" and "Kabisado."

"Natutuwa ako na nakikita ko siya ngayon with his band IV of Spades na namamayagpag at masaya sila, masayang-masaya ako doon," Kean added, making it clear that he and Unique remain friends.

Last year, Kean shared the heartbreaking news of his mother Chona’s passing on social media. In an emotional tribute, the artist opened up about his grief and expressed his deep gratitude for the love and guidance she had given him.
