In an interview with GMA reporter Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras, Bea clarified that she was not deliberately trying to hide the wedding from people. Rather, she reached a point where she felt strongly about preserving the moment as something personal between herself and Vincent.
“It wasn’t that I was keeping it from everyone, but at that point, I felt like I just wanted it to be mine and his,” Bea said.
The actress explained that she wanted the wedding to center on their relationship instead of becoming an event for public consumption.

“I wanted it to be about us and no one else,” she added.
Bea also clarified that there was never an elaborate plan to surprise the public with the marriage. According to the actress, the couple simply did not make a formal announcement beforehand because they did not feel that one was necessary.
“It wasn’t supposed to be a surprise, and there wasn’t really any announcement. It wasn’t supposed to be like that,” she said.
Instead, Bea said the decision was guided by what felt appropriate for them at that particular point in their lives.
“It just felt like it was the right thing to do,” she explained, emphasizing that the actual wedding moment was something she and Vincent wanted to experience privately.
“And, you know … the moment was ours,” Bea added.

The actress also opened up about another major change following the marriage: she now shares a home with Vincent.
“My address is different now,” Bea said, confirming that the couple has moved in together.
“Of course, we’ve moved in together, obviously,” she added.
Bea spoke warmly about adjusting to married life and waking up beside her husband every day. Rather than describing the transition as overwhelming, she characterized the experience as something deeply meaningful and joyful.
“Right now, I’m on cloud nine. I’m very, very happy,” the actress shared.
Bea further said that she is currently at her happiest as she begins this new chapter with Vincent.
“Of course, I’m at my happiest,” she said.
One of the things she particularly treasures is the simple routine of starting each day together.
“We wake up right next to each other every day. And it’s special to me,” Bea said.
Bea and Vincent got married in a civil ceremony in July. The wedding was officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay.
The intimate nature of the ceremony marked a departure from the level of public attention that has often accompanied major milestones in Bea’s life. As one of the Philippines’ most recognizable actresses, she has spent much of her career in the public eye, making her choice to keep this particular occasion private especially meaningful.
For Bea, however, the decision appears to have been less about secrecy and more about setting aside a moment that belonged to her and Vincent.
Bea Alonzo is among the Philippines’ most acclaimed actresses, having earned widespread recognition through television dramas such as Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, Maging Sino Ka Man, and A Love to Last. Her film career has also produced major successes, including One More Chance and The Mistress. Known for her emotional range and versatility, Bea has become regarded as one of the leading performers of her generation, while her personal life and important decisions have likewise remained subjects of public interest.
Previously, Dimples Romana responded to questions concerning Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co’s private civil wedding. She said she did not harbor any ill feelings about not being included in the ceremony. Dimples also explained why she believes Bea does not necessarily need advice from her about navigating married life, showing her respect for her friend’s choices and relationship.
As previously reported by KAMI, Bea Alonzo gave her followers a glimpse of another major transition when she shared moments from her moving day through Instagram Stories. The actress posted images of numerous boxes as she prepared to transfer to her new home. In another Story, she introduced her young nephew, whom she affectionately referred to as her “little helper,” as he joined her during the move.
