Iya Villania recently gave her followers a glimpse of an emotional moment involving her son Leon, who was left heartbroken after a dog he had grown attached to was reserved by another customer.

The TV host and actress shared a video showing Leon crying while sitting on her lap during one of their visits to a pet shop.
In her caption, Iya affectionately described the experience as “Leon’s first heart break.”
According to Iya, the family’s growing interest in getting a dog began partly because of her husband, Drew Arellano, whose strong connection with dogs has long been evident.

Iya jokingly admitted that she always considered herself a pet lover until she met Drew, whose love for dogs is unmistakable.
Although Drew had wanted to have a dog at home for some time, Iya said raising their children had already kept him busy. However, with their eldest son, Primo, approaching his 10th birthday and now wanting a dog himself, Drew eventually felt that the timing was right for the family to adopt one.
Their home is still being prepared for the new pet, so the family has been making weekly visits to Mini Pet Philippines to check on Kobe, the dog chosen for Primo.
Those visits unexpectedly resulted in Leon and Iya becoming attached to other dogs at the pet shop.
Iya said she particularly enjoyed spending time with Tanya, the dog she was holding in the video, while Leon developed a special bond with Annie.
According to Iya, Annie would regularly seek Leon’s attention whenever he walked away, which made their connection even more noticeable.
She admitted that she was already feeling sad at the thought that Tanya might no longer be there when they returned.
During one particular visit, however, another customer arrived specifically to see Annie.
When the customer asked to see the dog, Leon began to feel nervous.
Eventually, the customer decided to reserve Annie.
That decision resulted in the emotional scene captured in Iya’s video, with Leon visibly upset over losing the dog he had grown fond of.
Iya said she initially underestimated just how attached Leon had become to Annie after only two visits.
“I didn’t realize how attached he got from the 2 visits he had with Annie until I saw him really getting the feelzzz,” she wrote.
At first, she thought Leon was simply being playful or dramatic. But watching him become genuinely emotional made her see another side of her son.
Iya reflected that while Leon can be energetic and mischievous, he also possesses a deep capacity for affection.
“I honestly thought he was just being silly and dramatic but I’m reminded that as crazy as this boy is, so is his ability to love,” she said.
She then jokingly imagined how emotional he might become when he eventually experiences romantic love, telling her son to wait until he falls in love with a person.
The moment also became an opportunity for sibling bonding.
Iya noticed that Primo was affected by seeing his younger brother upset and attempted to comfort him.
Primo shared his own story about experiencing disappointment after not getting the dog he initially wanted, seemingly hoping to help Leon understand that such heartbreak can happen.
The older brother also allowed Leon to hug him despite normally not being particularly fond of hugs from his younger sibling.
For Iya, the incident became more than simply a child crying over a puppy. It offered her a touching glimpse into Leon’s emotional world and his growing capacity to form attachments.
