Jake became tearful as he reflected on the love and values his parents instilled in him, while Inah also became emotional as she recalled witnessing his difficult journey in caring for his father during his illness.

Jake expressed heartfelt gratitude to his parents for the love they gave him throughout his life. He shared that their kindness and the way they raised him continue to influence how he treats other people today.

“Siguro gusto ko lang din mag-thank you sa kanila sa lahat-lahat ng pagmamahal,” Jake aired.

He went on to explain that he believes his good character is a reflection of the upbringing he received from his parents, adding that they were naturally kind people, especially his father.

“Actually, Tito Boy, hindi naman ako magiging mabait kung ‘di dahil din naman sa kanila… kung paano nila ako pinalaki,” he added.
“May parents kasi sobrang bait din naman po talaga. Lalo na si Papa.”

Inah then shared that she personally witnessed the actor's struggles, especially during the time when his father was seriously ill. According to Inah, Jake carried the responsibility of caring for his father while continuing to fulfill his work commitments.

“Si Jake kasi, Tito Boy, nakita ko 'yung struggle niya, especially when his father was very sick. Sobrang hirap talaga. And he was shouldering everything. Lahat siya talaga.”

Inah went on to explain that Jake's family lives in Subic, while his acting career required him to travel frequently for work. Because of his regular taping schedule, they could only visit his father once or twice a month.

“And he lives in the province kasi, 'yung family niya, even ‘yung dad niya. And ang laging kinukuwento sa amin, kasi siyempre he has work, he has taping every week. So we would only go to Subic siguro twice or once a month.”

She added that whenever they visited, Jake's siblings would tell them that their father was always asking for him, showing how much he longed to see his son.

“So when we would see his Papa, his Papa, when we would visit him, you know, his siblings would always say, ang laging niyang hinahanap si Jake.”

The emotional exchange highlighted the deep bond Jake shared with his parents and the lasting influence they had on his life. Jake's father passed away in 2023, while his mother died in 2011. Although both are no longer with him, Jake made it clear that the love, kindness, and values they instilled in him remain with him and continue to guide him every day.
