Nico Bolzico has shared a heartfelt reflection following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, opening up about receiving hateful comments on social media because of his unwavering support for his home country, Argentina.

The Argentine entrepreneur, who is married to actress Solenn Heussaff, took to social media after Spain defeated Argentina in the championship match. While expressing sadness over the result, Nico emphasized that football should always be about unity, respect, and shared passion rather than hostility.
In his emotional post, Nico first paid tribute to what he described as a remarkable chapter in Argentine football.
“The end of an era that gave us so much happiness and taught us countless life lessons.”

He then shared that the final became even more meaningful because he was able to watch it surrounded by the people closest to him.
“This final I had the privilege of watching it with my dad (83 years old) and the rest of my family.”
Nico also reflected on the special experience of watching the tournament with his daughter, Tili, who was old enough to truly appreciate the World Cup for the first time.
“It was also the first World Cup that Tili truly understood. We watched some matches together, like I did with my dad growing up.”
The businessman said the moment reminded him of his own childhood, when watching football alongside his father became a cherished family tradition.
He went on to explain why football holds such a special place in his family’s life.
“We love football. It runs through our veins. But we should never forget that it’s just a sport—a sport that’s meant to bring people together.”
Despite the joy the tournament brought to his family, Nico admitted that this year’s World Cup also exposed them to something they had never experienced before.
“Sadly, for the first time, we’ve experienced genuine hate on social media simply because of the team we support, mostly from people who don’t understand what sports truly represent or the values we believe in. Banter is part of football. Hate is not.”
His statement quickly resonated with many sports fans, who agreed that passionate rivalries are part of football culture but should never cross the line into personal attacks or harassment.
