“Barkada yung trato namin sa isa’t isa, especially when we travel abroad and do shows together. But even if barkada kami, I don’t forget that he’s my dad,” Iñigo shared.

He added that even with their close relationship, he continues to observe Filipino values of respect in the way he speaks to Piolo. He shared that he still addresses his father using "po" and "opo," reflecting the respect that has remained part of their relationship since he was young.

The actor also spoke about the valuable life lessons he has learned by simply watching how Piolo handles difficult situations. According to Iñigo, one of the qualities he admires most about his father is his ability to remain calm instead of responding immediately to conflict.

“One thing about my dad is, if that ever happens to him, he just stays quiet. He chooses to be the bigger person. He’s never told me that, but that’s something I witnessed and learned from,” Iñigo said.
