James admitted that the revelation deeply hurt him. He explained that although he has spent many years in the entertainment industry, he has always made a conscious effort to keep his personal life private.
“Nasaktan ako. Kasi Tito Boy, alam mo nasa showbiz ako, pero hindi ko inilalantad ang buhay ko sa industriya,” the actor aired.
He further shared that he had reminded his son to keep their family's personal matters separate from work. James also pointed out that many people were unaware of the full circumstances surrounding their situation, making the public disclosure even more difficult for him to accept.
“So, syempre nasaktan ako kasi kabilin-bilinan ko sa kanya na 'Anak 'yung personal life natin, hiwalay doon sa [trabaho,]' and syempre, maraming mga tao na hindi naiintindihan ang situation, so masakit. Masakit para sa akin.”
James' candid remarks gave viewers a deeper understanding of why he has always chosen to keep his family's private matters out of the public eye. His interview also shed light on the emotional impact of seeing personal issues become the subject of discussion.
