In his post, Richard shared that instead of preparing an elaborate celebration this year, he chose a more personal and nostalgic approach by bringing Maricar back to a place that holds deep significance in their relationship—where they first went on a date in 2009.

Richard reflected on how time has passed since that first meeting, emphasizing the emotional value of revisiting the same café years later. He opened his message with a direct anniversary greeting:

“13 years married to you this June 9th.”

He then explained his decision to keep the celebration simple, highlighting the memory of their early days as a couple and their first date experience in 2009:

“But this year’s wedding anniversary, I planned no fancy celebrations, I just brought you back to where we had to our first date in 2009.”

Richard also expressed surprise at how long it has been since they last visited the café, recalling the exact spot where he first asked Maricar out. He noted how vividly he remembers that moment, including what she wore that day:
