During her interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, May 11, AJ opened up about the difficult period in her life when she became a first-time parent and had to make adjustments to survive financially and emotionally. She shared that she and her child, Arianna, lived in a small apartment while she navigated the responsibilities of early motherhood.

AJ also acknowledged the support she received from her child’s paternal grandmother during that time, clarifying that she was not disregarding the help she was given while she was learning to care for her child.

“Tumira po kami ni Yana (Arianna) sa maliit na apartment. Pero hindi ko naman po dini-discredit 'yung Lola ni Yana (mother of her former partner), tinulungan po niya akong mag-alaga.”

As the conversation continued, host Boy Abunda asked her how she managed to survive and provide for her child during those early years.

“Paano kayo nabubuhay?” Boy asked.

AJ responded by describing the different ways she worked to earn a living at the time, explaining that she took on various jobs without initially informing her parents. She also shared that she later opened up to them about her experiences.

“Kung anu-ano po ang ginagawa ko. Nagtrabaho po ako. Hindi po alam ng parents ko. Pero nakuwento ko na rin po [sa kanila.] Alam niyo po 'yung mga networking? Nag-gano'n po ako before. [Nagbenta] ng mga sabon sabon.”

Her revelations highlighted the hardships she endured as a young mother, including living in modest conditions and taking on small business opportunities just to make ends meet.
