Xian Lim recently touched the hearts of netizens after sharing an emotional clip from his graduation photo shoot, where he was seen proudly posing while wearing his graduation robe.

The actor posted the short video on social media alongside a reflective message addressed to his younger self, looking back on the struggles and dreams that shaped his journey.

He wrote in the caption:

“Dear 8-year-old self, the road gets hard sometimes… but I promise, we make it through more than you could ever imagine. And one day, the things you once only dreamed about slowly become reality…”

Just days earlier, Xian officially announced that he had graduated from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde with a degree in Music Production. The actor openly shared that completing his education had become one of his most meaningful goals after years of carrying insecurities about not finishing school.

Xian reflected on his teenage years, revealing that he started working at a very young age to help support himself while balancing his studies. He recalled taking jobs abroad before eventually moving to the Philippines, where an unexpected opportunity in entertainment completely changed the direction of his life.

As his acting career flourished, Xian eventually had to place his education on hold in order to fully commit to showbiz. Although he became one of the country’s most recognizable leading men, he admitted that there was always a lingering feeling that something was missing because he had not completed a college degree.

The actor candidly shared that despite his accomplishments in entertainment, he quietly struggled with feelings of insecurity over unfinished studies. According to him, the thought stayed with him for many years.

Returning to school later in life was not easy for Xian. He admitted that he experienced self-doubt, fear of failure, and hesitation about re-entering an academic environment after being away from school for such a long time.

However, he eventually pushed through the fear and committed himself to finishing what he had started. His recent graduation became not only an academic achievement but also a deeply personal victory representing perseverance, growth, and healing.

Xian Lim is widely recognized in Philippine entertainment not only as an actor but also as a singer, television host, and director. He first gained major popularity after starring alongside Kim Chiu in the hit romantic comedy My Binondo Girl, which established him as one of ABS-CBN’s leading men. He later top-billed several successful films including Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?, Bride for Rent, and Everything About Her. Xian also became known for his performances in television dramas such as Ina, Kapatid, Anak and The Story of Us. Over the years, he expanded into directing and creative production, showcasing his passion for storytelling behind the camera as well.

Earlier, Xian also shared a reflective New Year post where he looked back on the fast-paced events of 2025. The actor admitted feeling guilty at times for not always staying present despite experiencing major milestones in his life. Among the highlights he mentioned were earning his pilot wings and traveling to Egypt with Iris Lee. For 2026, Xian expressed his desire to continue growing and become a better version of himself by stepping outside his comfort zone.

In a previous report, Xian also detailed his challenging journey toward becoming a licensed pilot. He shared that the demanding training process pushed him mentally and physically but taught him discipline and perseverance. Eventually, he successfully earned both his Commercial Pilot License and Instrument Rating. According to the actor, the experience reminded him that learning never truly ends and that personal growth requires constant effort and humility.
