In her post, Maxene opened up about her own personal journey, admitting that there was a period in her life when she felt disconnected from herself because she was merely following what everyone else seemed to be doing.

According to the actress, awareness plays a vital role in growth and transformation because people cannot improve aspects of themselves that they fail to recognize.

Maxene then reflected on how she used to navigate life without fully questioning whether the direction she was taking truly aligned with who she really was inside.

“A few years ago I was actually living on autopilot, just doing what everyone else is doing. Not really stopping to think or feel if the path I was on was aligned with my true self.”

The actress explained that many people eventually feel lost because they lack self-awareness and fail to examine their emotions, habits, and reactions. She warned that living unconsciously can lead people to become impulsive instead of responding thoughtfully to situations.

“This is where many humans get lost, when they lack awareness. Lack of self-awareness can be quite harmful. Because if you don’t practice awareness of yourself and your behaviors, you will unconsciously go through life just reacting impulsively to situations rather than responding consciously to them.”

Maxene also encouraged her followers to slow down, reflect, and sit with uncomfortable emotions instead of avoiding them. According to her, understanding one’s own patterns and triggers is a major step toward healing and self-discovery.

“If you take the time to pause, reflect, and become aware of your patterns and triggers, and you choose to sit with those uncomfortable feelings, rather than run away from them, you will begin to understand yourself better.”

Toward the end of her reflection, the actress emphasized that awareness can sometimes be painful because it forces people to confront difficult truths about themselves. However, she believes this honesty is necessary for genuine growth.

“You have to know who you really are, and this is what awareness brings. Awareness can be uncomfortable sometimes because the truth hurts but it’s what will show you what you need to see about yourself so that you can do the work to heal and grow.”

Over the years, Maxene has consistently used her platform to talk about mindfulness, healing, yoga, meditation, and emotional wellness. Her latest reflection further reinforced her advocacy for self-awareness and intentional living.
