“From the moment she stepped on her marker on the set of Penthouse Live some years ago I knew she would be a singing sensation the world had to see. I knew that she was destined for stardom. I knew she was good, but… What I didn’t know was how her good became great that turned into awesome and later blossomed into amazing!”

Martin continued by highlighting the immense influence Regine has had on the local music scene. He noted that her talent did not just meet existing standards but redefined them entirely for the next generation of performers.

“What I didn’t know was how she would become the peg for future singers for years to come. When they say, she raised the bar they were wrong. She IS the bar! What I didn’t know was how she changed the whole landscape of the Philippine music industry by selling out every venue made and turning every song she sang into her own mega hit. I even had the pleasure; the honor of sharing many a stage and world tours with her!” Martin wrote.

“What I didn’t know was how she would lead us all into a musical journey that keeps us wanting more as we look forward to her next and her next… What I didn’t know was with all her amazingness her super power is not even half of all mentioned above,” Martin added, pivoting from her professional accolades to her personal character.

To conclude his tribute, Martin spoke about the deep emotional bond they share. He praised her humanity, her kindness, and the familial love he holds for Regine, her husband Ogie Alcasid, and their family.

“Her super power is how she loves. Her super power is how she cares. Her super power is her generosity her childlike curiosity. Her super power is her friendship. Her super power is her concern for others. I have loved this woman my whole life. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for her and her beautiful family and her larger than life husband for they are my family now and I would take a bullet for them! Happy birthday Reg!” Martin concluded.
