It has been two decades since the spotlight first found EA Guzman, and the versatile actor is taking a moment to look back at the humble beginnings that launched his career. On Thursday, April 23, the actor turned to social media to mark a significant milestone: his 20th anniversary in the Philippine entertainment industry.

In a nostalgic Instagram post, EA shared a photo of his trophy alongside clips from his competitive days in Mr. Pogi, the popular male pageant segment of the long-running variety show Eat Bulaga. The 2006 winner accompanied the visuals with a heartfelt message, expressing his disbelief at how much time has passed.
“20 years ago. 20 years in the industry. and I’m still here, still dreaming, still grateful. Grabe, ang bilis ng panahon. Parang kelan lang nung nanalo ako ng Mr. Pogi 2006. From a simple dream to a journey full of lessons, wins, and challenges,” EA wrote.

The actor acknowledged that while his career has been fruitful, the path to longevity was paved with obstacles. He emphasized that his endurance in the industry was a result of personal growth and the experiences he gathered along the way.
“Lahat ng ‘yan naging parte ng kwento ko. Hindi naging madali, pero every step was worth it. Hindi ko mararating ‘to mag-isa,” EA added.

Recognizing the village it takes to sustain a career for two decades, EA made sure to thank the people who stood by him through various transitions, including his shift from a teen contestant to a highly respected dramatic actor. “Sa bawat pagkakataon, bawat role, bawat stage, dala ko lahat ng natutunan at pagmamahal ko sa craft na ‘to. And above all, THANK YOU LORD for the guidance, talent, strength, and endless blessings. Lahat ng ‘to, para sa’yo,” EA stated.
Closing his post, the actor made it clear that he has no intentions of slowing down. Even after 20 years, EA remains as driven as the young dreamer who first stepped onto the Eat Bulaga stage in 2006.
