She further explained that despite the challenges faced by the company, employees remain because of their strong belief in its mission and purpose of service to Filipinos worldwide.

Darla also expressed frustration over continued criticism directed at the organization despite its contributions to public service, information delivery, and disaster response efforts across the country.

She added that management consistently reminds employees to uphold the vision of founder Eugenio “Geny” Lopez Jr., emphasizing that the company is not driven by profit alone but by service and care for Filipinos.

“Paulit-ulit nga pong sinasabi sa amin ng aming bosses - nina Ma'am Cory, Sir Mark at Sir Carlo - and Sir Gabby, we always have to live by what Kapitan Geny Lopez envisioned ABS-CBN to be. Profit alone is not enough reason to go into business. It's the service we give to our people. And it is taking care of our people.

Darla also addressed concerns about internal family issues within the Lopez family, urging that employees be kept out of corporate disputes so they can focus on their work in serving the public.

Dahil at the end of the day, yun ang mas kailangan ng kalahatan ng sambayanang Pilipino ngayon.”
