In a social media reel posted on Friday, April 3, Thea shared that the accident occurred in the early hours of March 27 when she slipped and hit her head on the sink. She recalled, “I woke up and the floor was bloody and I could feel what I assumed was blood trickling down my face,” adding that her sister told her she had been unconscious for “a little less than a minute.”
She was immediately brought to the ER. While tests came back normal, doctors treated a laceration on her forehead with stitches. Although medical staff recommended observation, Thea decided to return home.
The mishap also prompted a last-minute change in her stage look. She explained, “So if you’re wondering about the bangs, that was not a premeditated creative decision. The doctor had to shave a patch for the stitches, so we improvised.”
