Comedian Ate Gay moved viewers after revealing that actress and fashion icon Heart Evangelista has been quietly supporting him financially as he continues his battle with stage 4 cancer.

During his guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on GMA, Ate Gay spoke candidly about the people who have helped him through one of the most difficult periods of his life. Among those he expressed deep gratitude for was Heart, whom he described as kind and generous.

“Napaka buti ni Heart,” Ate Gay said.

“Si Ma’am Heart, ayun ay nakilala kong may gintong kutsara sa labi. Kasi bata palang ako nakikita ko na siya, nag-wo-work ako sa Singing Cooks and Waiters.”

Despite Heart’s well-known background, Ate Gay emphasized that her generosity is genuine and heartfelt.

“Monthly niya po ’ko binibiyayaan. Isa ’yon sa mga binigay sa ’kin ni Lord, at napakasuwerte ko na may tumulong sa akin. Mahal ako nila, at marami pa pong iba,” he added.

Beyond financial support for daily needs, Ate Gay revealed that Heart also helped him access medical care abroad. According to him, she facilitated his consultation with a doctor in Singapore—an important step in managing his illness.

He also acknowledged the support of Chaye Cabal-Revilla, who shouldered the expenses for his hospitalization and medicines at Asian Hospital. Ate Gay shared that his treatment has been extremely costly, particularly his immunotherapy sessions.

“Mula day one, pati hanggang ngayon. Kasi ’yung expensive na immunotherapy sinagot din ’yun, 12 days po ’yun. Biruin mo, 346,000 isang session at labing-dalawa po ’yun,” he revealed.

In addition to Heart and Chaye, Ate Gay expressed gratitude to several other personalities who extended help in various ways. Among them are actor Coco Martin, politician Jolo Revilla, Mark Lapid, Senator Lito Lapid, and comedian Allan K.
