During the hearing, Suntay said: “Alam niyo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na, nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano'ng pwedeng mangyari pero syempre hanggang imagination na lang 'yon. Pero 'di naman siguro ako pwedeng kasuhan kung ano ang na-imagine ko eh.” His statement sparked criticism for being lewd and inappropriate, particularly given the formal setting of the proceedings.

On his social media page, Alvin, who is married to former SexBomb Girl Izzy Trazona, shared a video featuring both his own interview and a clip of Suntay’s remark. In the interview, Alvin referenced biblical teachings on lust, saying: “Anong sabi ni Jesus? ‘If you look lustfully at the woman, you have already committed adultery in your heart.’ Tignan mo pa lang ang babae nang nagnanasa ka, parang ginawa mo na ‘yung physical act.” He used the reference to illustrate that even imagined desire carries moral consequences.

In the caption accompanying his post, Alvin elaborated on the challenges of controlling lust: “Kahit hindi si Anne ang tinitignan mo ng may pagnanasa, may mag-iinit sa loob mo, lalo na kapag nakalabas pa ang cleavage mo at legs..”

He also addressed husbands and women directly, offering guidance: “Kaya Filipino men protect your wife, may ‘Sin of lust’ kasi. And Filipino women dress modestly to avoid sexuaI desire. ‘Kasi nga may Sin of lust.’ Alam nyo mahirap talaga yan iwasan. Si Jesus lang ang makakatulong sa’yo ma-overcome yan.”

Alvin further reinforced his message by quoting Jesus’ teaching: “…if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell…”

His reaction provided a faith-based perspective to the public discourse surrounding Suntay’s controversial remark.

Anne Curtis began her career in the mid-1990s and has since become one of Philippine showbiz’s most recognizable figures. From starring in hit films and teleseryes to co-hosting It’s Showtime and venturing into music, fashion, and business, she has constantly evolved. Through all her reinventions, she has stayed authentic, earning enduring admiration and a strong, lasting presence in the entertainment industry.

Recently, Angel Locsin addressed the controversial comment by Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay about Anne Curtis. After Inquirer posted the statement on Instagram, it swiftly gained traction across social media. Angel expressed her dismay in the comments section. Her reaction further amplified conversations about the issue.

Meanwhile, Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay issued an apology to those offended by his controversial remarks about Anne Curtis, though he stood by his analogy. He compared his expression of “desire” toward Anne to an earlier statement by Vice President Sara Duterte, emphasizing that both involved imagined situations. Several lawmakers, including San Juan Representative Ysabel Maria Zamora, moved to strike his remarks from the official record. Suntay maintained that his point was to show that thoughts or desires, absent any concrete actions, should not qualify as impeachable offenses.
