During the hearing, Suntay said: “Alam niyo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na, nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano'ng pwedeng mangyari pero syempre hanggang imagination na lang 'yon. Pero 'di naman siguro ako pwedeng kasuhan kung ano ang na-imagine ko eh.”
On Instagram on Tuesday, March 3, Sugar shared a screenshot from the hearing. In her caption, she wrote: “Maraming Dasal para sa lahat at lalo sa kababaihan. Walang lihim sa kanya sa batas ng DYOS, walang makakatakas. Sagrado pangalan DYOS, di basta basta ginagamit, walang kabuluhan.” She appeared to call for prayer and reminded readers of the sacredness of God’s name in response to the controversial remark.

Anne Curtis began her career in the mid-1990s and has since become one of Philippine showbiz’s most recognizable figures. From starring in hit films and teleseryes to co-hosting It’s Showtime and venturing into music, fashion, and business, she has constantly evolved. Through all her reinventions, she has stayed authentic, earning enduring admiration and a strong, lasting presence in the entertainment industry.
Recently, Angel Locsin responded to a controversial remark by Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay about her friend Anne Curtis. The comment was later shared by Inquirer on Instagram, where it quickly drew online attention. In the comments section, Angel expressed her disbelief and frustration over the statement. Her reaction added momentum to the ongoing public discussion surrounding the issue.
Meanwhile, Quezon City Representative Bong Suntay apologized to those who were offended by his controversial remarks about Anne Curtis, but he maintained his defense of the analogy. He likened his “desire” toward Anne to a previous statement made by Vice President Sara Duterte, stressing that both were purely imagined scenarios. Lawmakers, including San Juan Representative Ysabel Maria Zamora, sought to have his comments removed from the official record. Suntay explained that his intent was to illustrate that imagination or desire, without any overt actions, should not be considered grounds for impeachment.
