Actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto opened up to broadcast journalist Karen Davila on her YouTube vlog about the death of her husband, Trevor Magallanes, and the painful reality of moving forward without him.

During the interview, Rufa Mae revealed that despite their estrangement, Trevor had already expressed his intention to reconcile with her and their daughter before his passing.

“Gusto na niyang bumalik sa amin… para puntahan ‘yong anak ko tapos hindi na nga nakarating,” she shared, her voice filled with emotion.

She clarified that their relationship was not defined by tragedy, stressing that they had happy memories together before Trevor’s death.

“‘Yon ang kuwento kaya… ‘yong sakit na namimiss namin siya. ‘Yon po ‘yong kuwento pero walang trahedyang kuwento. Masaya…”

The comedienne also spoke about the difficult task of raising their daughter Athena on her own and continuing the dreams they had planned together for their child.

“Mayroon kayong mga plano para sa anak mo. Na lahat ‘yon na plinano niya pero lahat ‘yon mangyayari nang wala siya. Sana naman nagplano kami simula kami mula pagka-baby… nagplano kami kung paano siya palalakihin tapos biglang wala na, ako na lang,” she said.

Rufa Mae’s candid interview highlighted not only her grief but also her strength as a mother determined to fulfill the life they had envisioned for their daughter, even in her husband’s absence.
