In the interview, Aragon described himself as an “okay” husband and compared his situation to actors Paolo Contis and Aljur Abrenica, both of whom previously faced issues involving their relationships.
“Naisip ko lang, si Paolo Contis—kasi nga may mga issue sa babae—[pati] si Aljur, galit na galit kayo kasi hindi sila naging okay na husband. Ngayon, merong tao na okay ang ginawa sa isang wife, bina-bash niyo pa rin?!” he said.

Dantes’ brief but noticeable reaction came as the controversy surrounding Aragon continued to trend online. The issue stemmed from Aragon’s earlier comments about the LGBT community, the SexBomb Girls, and Sofia Trazona, the transgender child of his wife Izzy Trazona, which sparked mixed reactions from netizens and public figures.
The discussions have since expanded beyond the initial statements, touching on topics such as marriage, faith, family relationships, and the responsibility of public personalities when speaking about sensitive issues. Many online users also debated whether Aragon’s self-assessment as a husband was relevant to the criticisms he has been receiving.
Izzy Trazona is one of the original and most popular members of the SexBomb Girls, the group that rose to fame through the noontime show Eat Bulaga. However, in recent years, Izzy has been active in promoting a faith-based lifestyle together with Alvin.
Sofia Trazona is a prominent Filipina transgender woman and celebrated drag artist, widely recognized as the eldest child of former SexBomb dancer Izzy Trazona from a previous relationship. Originally known as Andrei, she first captured public attention in 2023 when she debuted her stage persona, Sofia, in the Bunganga Battle Royale drag competition. Sofia has successfully transitioned from a social media content creator to a powerful figure in the local drag scene, balancing her family’s entertainment history with her own journey of self-discovery and advocacy for the trans community.
Earlier, Izzy Trazona shared a faith-filled message declaring trust in God amid the controversy involving her husband’s remarks about the LGBT community. Her post came with a Zumba video and a caption about how harm was turned into good through divine purpose. She added that the devil tried to harm her but God used it for a good purpose. The issue stemmed from statements made by Alvin Aragon that included comments about Izzy’s trans child Sofia.
In another report, Izzy Trazona recently opened up about the struggles their family is going through, saying that life has not been easy for all of them. In a heartfelt social media post, the online personality spoke about waking up each day through the strength that God provides. The celebrity admitted that everything has been possible only by grace, which they humbly described as something their family does not even deserve.
