Ogie Diaz warns public against post about Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi

Ogie Diaz recently took to social media to address and strongly deny a circulating claim involving Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, which falsely implicated him as the source of a supposed marital issue between the longtime couple.

On Instagram Stories, Ogie shared a screenshot of a Facebook post containing a lengthy caption that fueled online speculation. The post carried the following text:

“Isang blind item na naging mitsa ng malaking sunog sa social media ang nagtuturo ngayon sa mag-asawang Carmina at Zoren. Mula sa mga luha sa hotel lobby hanggang sa mga pahiwatig ng infidelity, tila hindi na kayang itago ang lamat sa kanilang pagsasama. Bakit nga ba tikom ang bibig ng magkabilang panig habang ang publiko ay nagpipiyesta sa mga lumalabas na ebidensya? Ito na ba ang katapusan ng isang alamat sa showbiz? Ang mga sagot na matagal niyong hinahanap ay narito na at siguradong ikabibigla niyo ang mga susunod na pangyayari. The Facebook post also included a collage labeled “Blind item: Hiwalayan.” The collage showed photos of the married couple, along with a photo of Ogie, creating the impression that he was the source of the claim alleging trouble in their marriage.

To directly debunk the allegation, Ogie added a firm on-screen caption over the screenshot that read:

“Fake news! Pls report!”

By reposting the Facebook content on his Instagram Stories, Ogie urged the public to report the misleading post and reiterated that he had no involvement in spreading rumors about Carmina and Zoren. His response underscored his stance against fake news and the misuse of his name and image to lend credibility to unverified blind items circulating online.

Carmina and Zoren, known as one of showbiz’s long-standing celebrity couples, have yet to issue a statement regarding the blind item. Ogie’s clarification, however, directly addressed the false claim linking him to the rumor, stressing that the circulating Facebook post was fake news and should not be treated as credible.

Carmina Villarroel-Legaspi is a Filipina actress and endorser whose full name is María Carmina Muñiz Villarroel-Legaspi. She is married to fellow actor Zoren Legaspi and has been active in the entertainment industry for many years. Carmina has appeared in several TV shows, including Super Ma’am, Sarap, Di Ba?, and Kara Mia, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
