Kris explained that the surgery, which was originally scheduled earlier, had to be postponed due to dangerously high blood pressure caused by a severe migraine, prompting her medical team to adjust her treatment first. She also expressed gratitude to her doctors for managing her pain and shared how moved she was seeing her sons support each other as they entered the pre-op area together.

“This surgery was delayed from yesterday to very soon because my BP was sky high the whole of Sunday- the culprit, my migraine. Thank you to my pain management doctor Henry Lu and his entire team for finding the right formula although Sunday night and yesterday i was given a pharmacy. Entering the pre-OP area. Kuya was shaking and automatically grabbed Bimb’s hand. I did something right in making sure Bimb grew up knowing he’ll be responsible for his Kuya. And kuya feels secure with Bimb. Going in.”

A day before, Kris also took to her Instagram Stories to explain the reason behind the rescheduling of her procedure and to open up about how anxious she felt. She admitted having trouble sleeping and feeling overwhelmed as she waited, but shared that she continues to pray for calm and peace amid the uncertainty surrounding her health.
