Karylle has revealed that she recently underwent a successful anterior cruciate ligament or ACL surgery, months after sustaining an injury while dancing on It’s Showtime. The TV host and singer shared the update through an Instagram post on January 9, giving fans a glimpse of her recovery journey.

In the post, Karylle uploaded several photos from her recent days. One image showed her alongside a team of physical therapy experts, with Karylle pointing to her knees, while another photo featured her wearing a knee brace and bandage as she posed with her husband, Yael Yuzon. In the caption, Karylle briefly confirmed her condition and procedure, writing that she is getting back into the swing of things and that she underwent ACL surgery, adding that she would share more details once she feels better.

Karylle’s injury traces back to a dance performance on It’s Showtime several months ago. During the segment, she suffered what appeared to be a leg injury. Co hosts Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro first laughed, thinking it was part of her routine, but quickly grew concerned when it became clear that Karylle was genuinely hurt.

Ryan Bang immediately rushed to the stage to assist her, lifting her leg in an effort to help ease the pain and swelling. A medic was then called to provide proper medical attention. Since then, Karylle has taken time to focus on treatment and recovery, with her recent post reassuring fans that she is now on the path to healing.

Karylle is a Filipina singer, actress, television host, and musical theater performer who is often regarded as part of OPM showbiz royalty. She won Best New Artist at MTV Philippines in 2002 and later earned international recognition with a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series Drama at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.
