Zoren Legaspi and his wife Carmina Villarroel recently sat down for an interview on GMA’s Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, where they spoke honestly about family roles, parenting, and working as a team in their marriage. During the conversation, Zoren looked back on a time when he was labeled a “househusband,” a term that came up when Carmina was busy with her acting projects and their twins, Mavy and Cassy, were active in modeling and commercials.

“There was a time, kasi, I was called, natatandaan mo Tito Boy they called me a ‘Househusband’ before?” Zoren shared.
He explained that he was never offended by the label and instead embraced the role.
“Kasi, she was working; they (twins Mavy and Cassy) were into modeling and commercials. I was in the house, I was called ‘househusband.’ But I was not offended dahil busy siya and it was an opportunity for me,” he said. Zoren added, “Sabi ko, ‘Ah, ako yung mag-aalaga, hands-on sa kambal while she was working.’”

Aside from being hands on with the kids, Zoren also shared that he took responsibility for managing their children’s earnings.
“And at the same time, sabi ko ah ang magiging obligasyon ko sa kanila palalaguin ko ’yung pera nila. Sa awa ng Diyos napalago ko naman ’yung pera nila,” he said.
Carmina proudly supported her husband’s story and confirmed that Zoren handled the financial planning for their twins early on.
“Toka talaga ni Zoren ’yan. So, mga bata pa lang sila naka-invest na ’yung mga pera nila sa mga properties,” she shared, highlighting how they worked together to secure Mavy and Cassy’s future.
Carmina Villarroel-Legaspi is a Filipina actress and endorser whose full name is María Carmina Muñiz Villarroel-Legaspi. She is married to fellow actor Zoren Legaspi and has been part of the entertainment industry for many years.
