John also explained that Yapyap is already 13 years old and belongs to the third generation of his furbabies. Despite his busy work schedule, John and his family make sure someone visits Yapyap every day so he does not feel alone.

The actor ended his post with a heartfelt wish that Yapyap will recover soon so he can finally go home and spend Christmas with the family.

“I have had 13 furbabies from three generations of dogs. I never imagined that one day they would grow old, weaken, and slowly drift away one by one—sometimes only a few years apart, depending on which generation they belong to.
Yapyap is already 13 years old and belongs to the third generation of my furbabies. Over the past two years, he has visited my vet multiple times for the same recurring health issue. He is always prone to blood infections, and this is now his third confinement. He has been confined at the Laguna Veterinary Clinic for almost a month now. He still does not have much of an appetite, but he tries his best to eat small amounts of his favorite sitsirya or anything crunchy—usually only when we visit. This is also the reason my trusted vet will not allow me to bring him home with his IV yet. So, we take turns visiting him every day and cuddling him for about an hour, just so he can feel comforted and hopefully feel better.

My furbabies are not used to staying in cages—not even in a crib—and they are especially not used to being away from us. My staff and family take turns doing this daily, especially when I have taping or shooting schedules.
I truly wish Yapyap will get better before Christmas so he can finally stay with us for good.”
