Gabbi revealed that she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS back in 2018, a condition she kept private for years. About three years ago, she decided to finally show up for her body, choosing to care for it instead of fighting it. She admitted that weight gain has been part of her journey, sharing that there are days she feels bloated or struggles with changes in her appearance despite staying active.

Despite these challenges, Gabbi said she has reached a point where being strong and healthy matters more to her than fitting society’s idea of being sexy. She shared that being able to run, lift weights, and rely on her own strength now gives her peace and confidence. Gabbi also encouraged others who may be going through the same journey to be kinder to themselves and remember that they are not alone.

“Movement became my safe space. My release. My stress reliever. My reset 🤍
I didn’t start working out to chase a certain body. I started because I wanted to feel strong, healthy, and good in my own skin.
I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2018. It’s something I’ve kept to myself for a while. But about 3 years ago, I finally pushed myself to move. to show up for my body and take care of it instead of fighting it 🫶🏽
Yes, mabilis din akong tumaba. Minsan mataba ako sa TV, oo nakikita ko kahit todo workout na ko. Minsan naman okay ako if hindi bloated lol. But yes, there are a lot of days when I feel bloated, days with a moon face, the “PCOS belly,” and everything else that comes with it.
And now, I’m at a point kung san basta strong and healthy ako, okay na ako. Kaya kong tumakbo. Kaya kong magbuhat. Kaya ko sarili ko 🫶🏽 Being “sexy” the way society defines it is honestly the least of my priorities.

Not perfect. Just better. Still learning. Still showing up 🥹
If this is your journey too, be kinder to yourself 🤍 You’re not alone”

Gabbi Garcia is a Filipina actress, singer, and model who has built a strong career as a Kapuso star under GMA Network. She became widely known for her role as Alena in the 2016 remake of the fantasy series Encantadia, which helped boost her popularity. Outside of work, Gabbi is in a long-term relationship with fellow actor Khalil Ramos.

Previously, Gabbi caught attention online after posting a short but pointed message on X about the lack of accountability in ongoing issues. Many netizens saw it as a comment on unresolved controversies, with some linking it to public frustration over alleged corruption in infrastructure and flood control projects. Gabbi did not explain her post, but it continued to spread and spark discussion online.

In an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Gabbi also shared her thoughts about joining Miss Universe Philippines. She said it is not the smartest move for her at the moment because joining a pageant would mean dropping her current work and possibly being jobless for a year or two. While she is focused on acting and hosting for now, Gabbi made it clear that she is not fully closing the door on joining Miss Universe Philippines in the future, saying it may simply be a matter of timing.
