Vice Ganda shared her honest thoughts about politics during her interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube vlog. The comedian and TV host said that running for public office is not something she sees for herself because it does not come from her heart.

According to Vice, choosing public service is a serious commitment that requires giving one’s whole life to the role, and she feels that it is not the path meant for her. Vice also shared that she has rejected offers and invitations to join politics.

The It’s Showtime host also talked about why she continues to speak about social and political concerns even without holding a government position. Vice shared that having a large platform comes with responsibility, and she feels it is important to use her voice for more than just entertainment.

She added that she cannot ignore the struggles of ordinary Filipinos, especially the people she talks to every day on television. For Vice, speaking up is a way of caring and staying true to her conscience, even if she chooses to do it outside of politics.

Vice Ganda is a well known comedian, actor, endorser, and TV host in the Philippines. He is best known as the main host of It’s Showtime and for starring in many top earning MMFF movies. Vice is in a relationship with Ion Perez, and the two made their commitment official through a Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony held in Las Vegas on October 19, 2021.

Recently, Vice opened up about his long friendship with Coco Martin in an interview with Karen Davila. He looked back on their early days when they barely had money, sharing how they would split small amounts and sometimes even cry together while eating. Now that both are successful, Vice said they feel thankful and proud of how far they have come.

In another update, Shuvee Etrata shared her appreciation for Vice Ganda on social media. She thanked Vice for trusting the cast of this year’s MMFF movie Call Me Mother and posted photos with her co-stars. Shuvee also shared how grateful she is to be part of the project and to work with people she has grown close to.
