On Thursday, December 18, the hosts talked about school Christmas parties during the “Laro Laro Pick” segment of the noontime show, which featured stall owners and sellers as players. During the discussion, Vice recalled what was described as a “traumatic” experience attending Christmas parties back when Vice was still a student.

Vice explained that there was a point in life when Christmas parties were not something to look forward to because of the pressure brought by exchange gifts. Kasi may exchange gift.

Vice also recalled how classmates would easily recognize what was inside the wrapped gifts, making the situation even more uncomfortable. Tapos minsan wala,” Vice added.

The comedian-host went on to compare the experience to situations in school when students are asked to give monetary contributions. Vice said.

Because of this personal history, Vice expressed empathy toward one of the players in the segment, Joy, who is a solo parent. Vice said this made it easier to understand how fulfilling it must feel for Joy to be able to provide for the needs and wishes of her children, especially during the Christmas season.
