From there, Liza went on to explain the foundation of her love for Ice, emphasizing the uniqueness of being truly seen and accepted:
“I love you because you make me feel seen — truly seen — in ways no one ever has. With you, I don’t need to edit myself. I can be every layer of who I am — messy, driven, emotional, loud, soft, exhausted, HANGRY — and you never make me feel like I have to apologize for existing.”
She then described how Ice gives her a sense of safety, allowing her to be completely authentic:
“You are my safe space. The one place I don’t have to perform, impress, or prove anything. You just let me be… and that’s enough.”
Liza shared how Ice encourages her growth and supports her passions, even when her ideas come at unexpected hours:
“You let me fly, love. Because of you, I’ve stepped into parts of myself I used to ignore. You give me space to explore, to learn, to change — and you never make me feel like I’m ‘too much’ or ‘not enough.’ Actually, ikaw pa yung nagtutulak sa akin to go for the very ideas I pretend I’m too busy (or too scared) to chase.”
She followed this by describing Ice’s patience during her late-night brainstorming sessions:
“And yes — you let my always-curious brain run wild. When my new idea is at Step 1 but I’m already presenting a 5-year rollout plan at 3AM, you stay awake, you listen (kahit obvious na antok ka na), you kiss my forehead and tell me, ‘Go for it,’ even if medyo intense ako minsan..”
Liza continued by sharing how their relationship has changed her for the better:
“Because of you, I’ve become braver. Softer. More myself — in the best way.”
Switching her focus to the public’s perception of Ice, Liza expressed that the qualities people admire in him are the same ones she experiences every day:
“And here’s what I want people to know: What they admire in you — your sincerity, your heart, your humility — is the same person I come home to, in pajamas (mas poetic kesa sabihin kong n@ked), half-asleep, while playing your games an watching true crime. You are that rare. That genuine. And that never fails to amuse me.”
She added that her love for Ice extends beyond his musical talent:
“That’s why I love you — not because you’re the most incredible singer on the planet, and not because you sing in ways that wreck our emotional stability and leave entire rooms in tears (although, yes, sobra akong proud doon)… but because of how safe, understood, and completely myself I feel with you.”
Liza ended her anniversary tribute with a strong declaration of love and commitment:
“Mahal na mahal kita. Here’s to choosing each other — honestly, and ALWAYS.”
