One of the highlights was his meeting with Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, where he said he spent time “learning and sharing” with the well-loved Filipino church leader.

Matteo also enjoyed Italian food and pastries, proudly showing off the dishes he tried, including artichokes that he described as “unbelievable.” He also had dinner together with friends from different places, saying their night was filled with laughter, stories, and lessons about life.

In his post, Matteo wrote, “A meaningful day in Rome! Learning and sharing with Cardinal Tagle. Thank you, Cardinal… maraming salamat po. Matteo Guidicelli is a Filipino actor and entrepreneur who first became known as a young kart racer. He won several awards in karting before turning to showbiz. He later joined ABS CBN’s Star Magic and appeared in shows like Agua Bendita, Galema, and Dolce Amore. Matteo is married to singer Sarah Geronimo, and their private wedding in February 2020 became big news in the Philippines.

Earlier, Matteo shared a message on Instagram praising the strength and kindness of the Cebuano people after the recent earthquake in Cebu. He said he once again saw how Cebuanos help each other during hard times. Being from Cebu himself, he talked about how the community continues to rise above challenges through teamwork and faith.

Matteo also posted a video showing the Philippine flag raised after the liberation of Marawi, alongside Major Bala Tamayo. Major Tamayo explained that the flag stands for every life saved, every area cleared, and every soldier who fought during the siege. Matteo then questioned what freedom really means if corruption continues to take away opportunities and progress from many Filipinos.
