In an Instagram Story posted on Saturday, the actress expressed her anguish over what she described as continued suffering and abuse experienced by Filipinos at the hands of those meant to protect them.

Set against a solid orange gradient background, Pokwang’s post conveyed a mix of love, frustration, and grief over the state of public welfare and governance. She opened her message by greeting the country and revealing her daily prayers for its people.

The comedian continued, expressing her pain over the nation’s struggles: “Nasasaktan ako para sayo kasi sobrang abuso ang inaabot mo sa kamay ng mga taong dapat nag po protekta sayo pero hindi pala!”

She concluded with a rousing call to action: “Kasi sila mismo nag sadlak sayo sa PUTIK AT DUSA!! GISING!!!!!!!!!!! LABAN!!!!”
