Actor Mark Herras took to social media to pay tribute to his late father on his birthday, sharing a heartfelt message that moved many of his followers.

In his post, Mark expressed deep gratitude to his two fathers who raised him, revealing that he was adopted and brought up by gay parents since birth. “Happy birthday in heaven dad! Thank you dahil kayo ni papapim ang naging mga magulang ko. Yes i was adopted & raised by gay parents simula pa nung pinanganak ako kaya magaling ako makisama sa mga beks OBVIOUS ba? KAYA MATINDI DIN ANG GAYDAR KO HAHAHA!!” he wrote, adding humor and warmth to his message.

Mark went on to share that if given the chance to relive his life, he would still choose to be raised by the same parents. “Kung may rewind man ang buhay silang dalawa pa rin ang pipiliin ko na maging magulang ko bakit?? Dahil gusto ko at proud ako na maging anak nila pero sadly wala na silang lahat,” he said, referring to his dad, Papapim, Mama, and Mamang.

The actor also reminded his followers to cherish their parents while they are still alive. “Kaya sa mga buhay pa ang magulang dyan, maswerte kayo kaya sulitin nyo kasi nga ‘life is too short’ .. Kahit na puro sermon sila laging galit laging sila ung tama pag tyo mali na agad, ang daming utos lahat na lang pinapakialaman at inaalam nila,” Mark reflected, encouraging others to appreciate their parents’ love and sacrifices.

He ended his message with a touching farewell, saying, “To my dad, papapim, mama & mamang mahal na mahal ko po kyo!”

He is known not only for his acting skills but also for his dancing talent. The actor also used to be Jennylyn Mercado's love team partner. Mark is married to Nicole Donesa. They tied the knot on September 8, 2021, in a civil wedding ceremony officiated by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte. The couple welcomed their first child, Mark Fernando Donesa Herras, nicknamed Corky, on January 31, 2021.
